Issue/Introduction

CA Client Automation allows users to select Software to install to their own machines using the  Software Delivery Catalog.

 

Updated versions of Internet Explorer can cause popup errors.

 

What do I do if I get the following Error Message, when I try to use the Software Delivery Catalog  ?

CA Client Automation - All Versions

Resolution

Edit the registry entry 1201 to value 3 under these keys:

 

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Zones\0

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Zones\0

 

Setting it to 3 means that 'Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe' is disabled.
