Received a CADT087E UNABLE TO CONTACT SERVER RTC=2F IUCVCODE=00 and a CADT008D Mount message and then the tape job hangs.
What could be the reason and how to avoid it ?
The RTC=2F means REQUEST EXPIRED (time out).
This can occur if the operator does not reply to the CADT008D message within 40 Min (40 Minutes is the Default).
To avoid the CADT0087E with RTF=2F, reply to the CADT008D message within the max timeframe.
other RTC Codes and action to solve:
2F REQUEST HAS EXPIRED (TIMED OUT)
1D REQUEST UNSUCCESSFUL (out of IUCV path)
1E PATH HAS BEEN SEVERED
IUCV PATH's empty or IUCV Connection to DYNAMCMS Server was broken (perhaps of IPL VSE).
recommendation: increase OPTION MAXCONN in the CP DIRECTORY for VSE
restart DYNAMCMS to recreate the IUCV interface.
