Here is a table of the various colors or states from the system management LED.  This LED is closest to the configuration keys.

LED color System status Action to be taken System state

Solid Amber Either the license is not setup or the environmental warnings on the system (issues with temperature, voltage, fan speeds, or power supply feeds) Depending on the issue, the action is different.  The system is running normally, or at least for the time being.  Symantec Network Protection recommends quickly recording the cause of the failure, saving the data, and gracefully shutting dow the appliance and calling to Symantec Network Protection for support.  To find the failing component, please go to https://<ip.addr.of.sg>:8082/Sensors/Current
Amber blinking System is in a critical condition Depending on the issue, the action is different. Depending on the failure (one fan failure or one power supply feed not present, the system will continue to be functional), the system could either be running or crashed.  Please contact Symantec Network Protection for assistance.  To find the failing component, please go to https://<ip.addr.of.sg>:8082/Sensors/Current
