Issue/Introduction

User-defined Exceptions cannot be removed after being viewed as HTML

1. Create a new user-defined exception :
SG210#conf t
SG210#(config)exceptions
SG210#(config exceptions)create abc
SG210#(config exceptions)edit abc
SG210#(config exceptions user-defined.abc)http 403
SG210#(config exceptions user-defined.abc)inline details abc
test test test
abc
SG210#(config exceptions user-defined.abc)exit

2. Management Console > Policy > Exceptions-> View File > 'Exceptions Configuration' > View button.
Under the User-defined Exceptions, click 'View Sample HTML' for abc

3. Close all web browsers.

4. From the CLI Console, try deleting the user-defined exception
SG210#(config exceptions)delete abc
% Could not delete user-defined exception: The given exception is referenced by policy.

Workaround

1. Create another custom exception

SG210#(config exceptions)delete abc
% Could not delete user-defined exception: The given exception is referenced by policy.
SG210#(config exceptions)create bcd
  ok
SG210#(config exceptions)delete abc
  ok
SG210#(config exceptions)delete bcd
  ok
SG210#(config exceptions)exit

2. A restart also addresses the problem.

Resolution

This is fixed in SG 6.2.6.1.

Users running SG 6.1.x are advised to upgrade to the latest SG 6.2.x to address this issue. This issue is not present in SG 6.3.1.1.
