Issue/Introduction

An "Unable to connect" error occurs when performing the Adobe Connect Connection Test in intercept mode. The test succeeds in bypass mode.

Resolution

  1. Find the IP address of the Adobe Connect Connection Test URL.
In this example, the URL is https://edd.connectsolutions.com/common/help/en/support/meeting_test.htm.
    The IP address is 63.131.152.192.
  2. Take a packet capture (PCAP) of the failed test and search for the IP address within that range.
In this example, the IP address is 63.131.152.171.
  3. In the Management Console, create a new service under Proxy Services with the IP address you found in step 2.
  4. Make sure the other settings are as follows:
    • For Proxy, select TCP Tunnel
    • Select Early Intercept
    • For ADN Settings, select Enable ADN, Enable byte caching, and Enable compression. Select normal for Retention priority.

  5. Save the service.
  6. Try the Adobe Connect Connection Test again. It should succeed.

**For Explicit Deployments**

The above solution works for a Transparent deployment. If you have an Explicit deployment then add this into CPL: url.domain="https://edd.connectsolutions.com/common/help/en/support/meeting_test.htm" detect_protocol(none)
