SNMP v2c community string has been configured, but the ProxySG does not respond to SNMP requests. How can I enable SNMP?

Issue/Introduction

The Maintenance > SNMP > SNMPv1-v2c Communities feature in the Management Console does not enable SNMP function automatically.

SNMP function is disabled by default.

Step 1. To add SNMP community string

From WebGUI

1. Select the Maintenance > SNMP > SNMPv1-v2c Communities tab.
2. Click New
3. Add Community string name (e.g. public)
4. Click OK.
5. Click Apply.

Step 2. To enable SNMP function

In the Management Console, you must also enable the SNMP service.  
1. Select the Configuration > Services > Management Services tab.
2. To enable SNMP, select the Enable check box.
3. Click Apply.
