Shutting down the Edge SWG (formerly ProxySG)

You are trying find the command or recommended way to shut down the Edge SWG Hardware appliance or Virtual Appliance

Resolution

There is no 'shutdown' command for Edge SWG Hardware appliances. To shut down a Edge SWG, simply power it off.  If your Edge SWG does not have a power switch, you can disconnect the power going to the Edge SWG.

However, for Edge SWG Virtual Appliances, there is a 'shutdown' command. To avoid losing recent configuration changes, it is recommended to use the shutdown command before powering off the VA.
