How can I correct the STEPLIB +? - DATA SET NOT FOUND message that I received when trying to run a form in Batch mode?

Environment

z/OS 1.11 and above.

Resolution

The "STEPLIB +? - DATA SET NOT FOUND" message will be generated if a Batch Library entry is empty on the "TSO System Profile/CA Report Facility Datasets/Batch controls" screen, like so:

Batch Library 1 : DB2.SYSTEM.CDBALOAD %PRFBAT1

Batch Library 2 : DB2.SYSTEM.SDSNEXIT %PRFBAT2

Batch Library 3 : DB2.SYSTEM.SDSNLOAD %PRFBAT3

Batch Library 4 : %PRFBAT4

Batch Library 5 : %PRFBAT5

To correct this message, enter an entry on every line. Duplicate libraries can be entered, like so:

Batch Library 1 : DB2.SYSTEM.CDBALOAD %PRFBAT1

Batch Library 2 : DB2.SYSTEM.CDBALOAD %PRFBAT2

Batch Library 3 : DB2.SYSTEM.SDSNEXIT %PRFBAT3

Batch Library 4 : DB2.SYSTEM.SDSNEXIT %PRFBAT4

Batch Library 5 : DB2.SYSTEM.SDSNLOAD %PRFBAT5
