Web Services and Web Console is need if you want to use the web Console, Patch Manager
and/or to view Alerts from Health monitoring. To install Web Services and Web Console,
IIS must be installed with specific Roles and Features.
How do you install IIS on Windows 2008 Server for Web Services and Web Console ?
1. Open Server Manager
2. Right-click on Roles and Select Add Roles
3. On the Add Roles Wizard
Select the following Roles to Add:
4. On the next Screen
Make Sure Web Server (IIS) Support is checked off
This will automatically, check HTTP Activation
5. Check the list of Features below and make sure the ones that say Installed are checked off on your system.
Especially make sure the IIS 6 Management Compatibility is checked off.
Once that is installed you should be able to rerun CA Client Automation setup and install Web Services and Web Console.
