Issue/Introduction

When I tried to access the management console using https://X.X.X.X:8082,  where X.X.X.X  is the IP address of the proxy, it is not responding, but when I tried to access it using http://X.X.X.X:8081, the management console works fine.

It was working Ok, but suddenly it stops responding, I did not make any change on the proxy or the network configuration.

Resolution

This behavior might happen if the default keyring that is used to make the https connection to management console is corrupted, and the appliance can’t extract the certificate from this keyring.

You will see also in the event log a message like this:
Unexpected error extracting certificate" 31000E 4D0004:65   ../device_authorization.cpp:93
You can solve this issue by using another keyring rather than the default one for management console access.
To change this setting:
Management console--> configuration--> services--> management services then edit HTTPS console,
On the keyring drop down menu, change the keyring from default to another newly created keyring.
