Why does the iteration status page listing defects twice?

Resolution

By default, if the parent User Story is assigned to an iteration its children will implicitly also be assigned and show on this page. 

The defect will also show twice if the story and defect are explicitly assigned to the iteration.  

Points are only counted once.
