How to select an alternate bootable system before the ProxySG boots up
How do I select a different version of SGOS to boot into?
I am having problems with my version of SGOS and I need to boot into a different version of SGOS
 

Resolution

You will need to be attached to the serial port of your ProxySG.  This procedure can not be done via SSH, because there is no TCP/IP connectivity while a ProxySG is being rebooted.  Please do the following steps:

  1. Establish a serial console connection to your ProxySG
  2. Power on, or reboot the ProxySG.
  3. Once you see the console screen flashing saying the ProxySG is booting up tap the "Space Bar" to interrupt it.  You will see a screen similar to this:

Press the space key to select an alternate system to boot.

Seconds remaining until the default system is booted: 3

 

  1. Tap "Space Bar" again to interrupt it.
  2. Select another bootable system.
  3. Hit Enter to continue booting to the selected bootable system.
