Issue/Introduction

Requesting a method to extract the OID information of the Edge SWG.

Resolution

The best way to get the actual OIDs is to read the MIB files.

The MIB zip file can be downloaded from the Support Web Portal, e.g., mibs_sg_7.4.8.1-300950.zip is the latest MIB zip file while publishing the KB. 

1. Download an MIB browser of your choice online to read the MIB files. 

2. Unzip the MIB zip file and load the MIBs files in the MIB browser

3. Provide the Edge SWG IP address, specify the read and write community if it's for SNMP v2, and walk the MIB to obtain the OID. 

To find the SNMP Community, log into Edge SWG CLI terminal:  

SG-VA Series# show snmp

4. Search for the names from the listed MIB Tree, and the OID will be shown in the table.

For example:

Name: sgProxyHttpClientRequests
OID: .1.3.6.1.4.1.3417.2.11.3.1.1.1
Description: The number of HTTP requests received from clients.
