How to Enhance the Speed Test URL Results on the Cacheflow 5000 MX & CX devices

Issue/Introduction

This function allows you to enhance the results of speed test URLs used to assess ISP performance.

• Launch the CacheFlow interface in a web browser. 

  1. In a browser, enter https://CacheFlow_IP_address:8082.
  2. Enter the User Name and Password for the appliance.

• Switch to the Policy > Rules tab.

• Click Create New Rule.

  The Create New Rule wizard displays.

• Select the Execute Function rule and click Next.

• Select the optimize_broadband_speed_check function.

  The functions listed in the drop down are those defined by CachePulse. To see a list of available functions, run the following CLI command: 

#(config)cachepulse check-now

• To apply the rule to all users, on the From page do not select any criteria.Click Next.

• To apply the rule to all requested websites, on the To page do not select any criteria. Click Next.

• If the rule only applies to users with specific connection types, or when requesting access to a specific port number, identify those limitations.

• Click Done.

Install the policy only when you are finished creating all rules in the Policy GUI
