How to configure central policy update interval

Issue/Introduction

You want to specify the frequency with which the ProxySG appliance checks for a new version of the central policy file.

Resolution

First, configure the remote URL for the policy file: 

1. Configure the URL for central policy file. In the Management Console, select Configuration > Policy > Policy Files.
2. In the Install Policy section, select Automatically install new Policy when central policy file changes.
3. Beside 'Install Central file from', select Remote URL and click Install.

Next, set a new update interval in the command line interface (CLI):

Note: By default, the appliance checks for an updated central policy file once every 24 hours (1440 minutes). 

1. Log in to the CLI.
2. Enter enable mode.
3. Enter configuration mode.
4. Enter the following command:
   #(config) policy poll-interval minutes

where minutes is the numeric value used as poll-interval.
