Issue/Introduction

You can configure the proxy to forward a specific request to an upstream server.  This can be used to specify HTTPS protocol over HTTP.

Configure the Forwarding Host entry:

  1. In the Management Console go to Forwarding --> Forwarding Hosts --> New --> Set the Host and Check server, and select HTTPS to use to connect to the server.
  2. Select OK

Configure a rule in the VPM to use the Forwarding Host:

  1. In the VPM in a Forwarding Layer edit the source and or destination to catch the connections you want to forward
  2. In the action Set --> New --> Select Forwarding --> Add the Forwarding Host entry created above to the right.
  3. Select to fail open or fail closed if host is not available.
  4. Select OK
