How long before proxy drop the smtp worker if the smtp server fails to respond?

Issue/Introduction

Proxy have a feature that able to send notification using SMTP and the one that manage the SMTP process is SMTP Worker.

If the proxy fails to communicate with the SMTP server due to network issue etc, the SMTP Worker will try 5 times to send the message and waiting 10 seconds between each attempt. If all the 5 attemtps fail, the message will be dropped. So proxy will spend at least 40 seconds per failed message. If message are are queuing up faster that they are dropped, one of the effect will be high memory usage.
