Issue/Introduction

Steps on how to upgrade the ProxyAV.

Resolution

To Manually Download a Standard/Other Release of ProxyAV:

Note: The file can be downloaded and hosted on a web server or retrieved directly from a local file path.

1. For a direct-download link, log in to support.symantec.com.
2. Navigate to Downloads > Network Protection (Bluecoat) Downloads > ProxyAV 
3. Select the AV model from the product models list.
4. Select a GA version from Recommended LTR or a patch release from Standard / Other Release.
5. Agree to the software terms and conditions.
6. Right-click on the file name and copy the link address. 

For a Direct Firmware Update:

1. On the ProxyAV appliance, navigate to Firmware Update and select Closed Network/Direct Update.
2. Deselect Use Default.
3. Paste the link under Update Location, click Save Changes, and then click Update Now.
4. Select a GA version from Recommended LTR or a patch release from Standard / Other Release.
5. Agree to the software terms and conditions.
6. Right-click on the file name and copy the link address.
