Restarting the Edge SWG (ProxySG) and ASG appliances.
The Edge SWG (ProxySG) appliance can be restarted using a software command or by a physical manipulation of the power switch on certain models. If a switch is not available, you can turn off the appliance be removing the power cable(s).
The software command to restart the appliance is available via SSH, Telnet (if enabled), Serial Console, or via Web Management Console.
Restart the appliance through the CLI using SSH/Telnet (if enabled) or the Serial Console
There are three methods to restarting the appliance using the CLI:
(restart abrupt)
:
Forces the appliance to reboot without waiting for any pending processes to clear out. This generates a core if the context or full core is selected.(restart regular)
:
SGOS gracefully clears out all pending transactions. This type of restart is not triggered immediately after the command is executed, as the Edge SWG (ProxySG) appliance attempts to clear out any pending processes.(restart upgrade)
:
Triggers a restart and boot up of the default SGOS image. Refer to the Edge SWG (ProxySG) Admin Guides for more detail on how to set the default SGOS Image.Restart

Note: You can force the Edge SWG (ProxySG) appliance to generate a core image by simultaneously pressing Ctrl + X + H while selecting the serial console terminal. This option is only available on the serial console.
