Issue/Introduction

DTS is used to connect and transfer data between ITCM Managers (rarely used for agents).

The connection is based on the success of the command "dtsping".

That command may fail sometimes

Even if all ports necessary for ITCM are opened and both end machines are up and running and can be pinged without problems, why is the "dtsping" command failing?

Environment

Clarity Client Automation 14.0 SP2 and newer

Resolution

When the target machine has DTS Legacy Cam support enabled, then this machine is always responding to a "dtsping" command.

The parameter can be found in the Default Configuratoin policy under

-> DSM -> Data Transport Service (DTS) ->  Data Transport Agent Plugin -> Legacy Messaging Support

Please enable this option.
