Issue/Introduction

How do I control or limit ProxySG access log upload speed towards the access log server.

Resolution

To control proxySG accesslog upload speed for upload client please follow below steps

1. Create a bandwidth management class in the ProxySG Management Console: Configuration > Bandwidth Mgmt > Bandwidth Classes

2. Set a Class Name and Max Bandwidth (kbps) which puts a limit on how much bandwidth can be available (maximum)

3. Use the newly created Bandwidth class for upload client from Configuration > Access Logging > Logs > Upload Client

 4. Finally click apply

In case of a ongoing upload the speed can be monitored from management console Statistics > Access Logging >  upload Status

Note: If the ProxySG appliance is in a very busy network environment, reducing the speed of access log uploading can cause delay for the logs to show up in reporting server.
