Issue/Introduction

Checking the expiration date of a keyring certificate on the Edge SWG (ProxySG).

Resolution

Certificates created on a ProxySG appliance as part of a keyring will, by default, expire two years after creation.

To check the expiry date of a certificate:

  1. Go to https://x.x.x.x:8082/SSL/Download_ca in the ProxySG Management Console.
  2. In the list of ‘Certificates configured under keyrings’, select the keyring for which you want to view certificate expiry dates.

  3. If you are using Internet Explorer, you will probably be asked to save the certificate to a file. Save the file to the desktop and load the file (double click on it). If using Firefox, you will probably be asked to view the certificate to a file. Do so.

The certificate displayed will show both the valid from and expiry date.
