How do I change the IP address of PolicyCenter?

Issue/Introduction

Q. Is there a way to change the IP address that PolicyCenter is using for the configuration? If we change the IP address or replace the server, how will that affect the configuration of PolicyCenter?

 

A. The windows IP address can be changed on the physical server but you must reboot the server before you change the address.

 Note: The original IP address will still display on PolicyCenter’s configuration page since it is stored internally. 

 

To fix this cosmetic behavior, you will need to uninstall and reinstall the PolicyCenter application. During the reinstall you will be prompted for the IP address, enter the new address. Once the install is completed,

you can then go back and restore the configuration. 

 

Note: The directory server should not be uninstalled!
