Issue/Introduction

The PacketShaper may have various images available but how can I tell what is available?

Resolution

You can use the command 'ver' to find out what image version you are currently running.

PacketShaper# ver
  Version:             PacketShaper 11.10.2.5 build 259842
  Product:             PacketShaper S200
  Serial Number:       xxxxxxxxxxxx
  Memory:              15.8GB RAM, 4GB System Disk total, 3.1GB System Disk available
  Copyright (c) 1996-2015, Blue Coat Systems, Inc. All rights reserved.

At the same time, PacketShaper may have more images available to boot from. You can use the following command to check:

PacketShaper# setup image show

In the list above, the image with (A) next to it, is the active image. If you want to boot from a different image, you can make that image active and reboot.

PacketShaper# setup image active <release_id>

Alternatively, you can also select the image from the list from the 'serial console' connection during the boot time (by hitting Spacebar and selecting the image you want from the 'serial console' session during boot. This could be helpful if the default/active image is corrupt and you need to boot from a different image.
