PacketShaper S-Series PacketShaper

Issue/Introduction

You want to reset all configurations settings, which include basic configurations, the traffic tree with its Classes, Policies, and Partitions; Measurement Data; and Events to the Factory-Default settings.

Resolution

You can reset the PacketShaper to the Factory-Default state using the Command Line Interface (CLI) or the web browser User Interface. This action resets the unit's IP address to 207.78.98.254, making it unreachable on your network until it is reconfigured using Guided Setup.

Resetting the PacketShaper to factory default using the CLI:

  1. Access the CLI.
  2. Use the following command to reset the PacketShaper configuration to the factory-default state:
    setup reset all

Resetting the PacketShaper to factory default using the web browser User Interface:

  1. Open a web browser and login to the PacketShaper.
  2. Choose the Advanced UI on the top-right corner of the page (you may need to refresh the page after selecting Advanced UI).
  3. Click on the Setup tab.
  4. From the Choose Setup Page drop down list, select Unit Resets.
  5. Click on the Reset all ... button to reset the PacketShaper configuration to the factory-default state.

Note: The PacketShaper will Reboot after it has been Factory Defaulted.
