Issue/Introduction

The Broadcom support team requested FTP Debug Logging from the Edge SWG (ProxySG). This KB article describes how to enable FTP Debug Logging.

Resolution

To enable FTP debug logs:

1. Navigate to an advanced FTP console URL: https://<ip.address.of.proxy>:8082/FTP/setDebugMask . Specify what you want traced. In most cases, select all the options unless otherwise directed. Then click on the "Submit" button.
2.  Go to the debug output page on the Edge SWG (ProxySG) via https://<ip.address.of.proxy>:8082/FTP/Debug or follow the "Display FTP Debug Info" link from the setDebugMask console page.
3.  Execute the test requiring the debugging information through the EdgeSWG (ProxySG), refresh the /FTP/Debug console URL, and observe the FTP debug traces have been generated.  Save the output as plain text to a file and upload it to your service request case.
