Issue/Introduction

To resolve DNS-related issues, you may need to delete a cached DNS entry from your proxy appliance. Cached entries can cause outdated or incorrect resolutions.
This article provides simple steps to clear a specific DNS entry from the cache, ensuring accurate and up-to-date DNS queries.

Resolution

To delete a DNS entry:

  1. Go to Dashboards -> Advanced URLs -> DNS on the ProxySG Management Console.
  2. Click Delete a DNS Entry and on the address bar of the web browser, append the hostname to the end of the URL.

For example, if you would like to delete an unexpected negative DNS cache entry for foo.bar.com, enter:
Your Proxy IP Address/Hostname:Port and /DNS/cache/delete/example.com

To verify the DNS cache entry information, click Show information on a DNS entry and append the hostname to the end of the URL.

For example:

Your Proxy IP Address/Hostname:Port and /DNS/cache/info/example.com
