How a VIP affects requests and responses

Resolution

When the proxy makes a server-side request it will use the IP address of the interface in which it is initiating the connection as the source IP. If a client connects to the proxy via its virtual-ip (VIP) address, the virtual-ip address will be used when the proxy responds to the client.
