General information on HTTP/HTTPS console services
How do I modify or change the management console port and services?
You want an general information on HTTP/HTTPS services
The ProxySG ships with both the HTTP and HTTPS management console created, however, only the HTTPS console is enabled by default. The default HTTPS port is 8082.
Note: The HTTP/HTTPS Console is meant only for accessing and managing the ProxySG. On the other hand, an HTTP/HTTPS service is meant to allow secure access to other systems, such as remote web or content servers.
You can create additional HTTPS or HTTP consoles (for accessing the ProxySG through another IP Address), or HTTPS or HTTP services (to allow access to other systems), or modify the existing consoles or services. For SGOS 4, this is done through the Management Console by going to the Management Console > Configuration tab > Services > Service Ports. For SGOS 5, go into the Management Console > Configuration tab > Services > Management Services in order to change the Management Console ports and configuration. In SGOS 5, to change HTTP or HTTPS proxy services, go to the Management Console > Configuration tab > Services > Proxy Services.
If you are using HTTPS console or service, you will need to specify a keyring. The ProxySG comes with one default keyring. The name of this default keyring is "default". You can create additional keyrings by going to the Management Console > Configuration tab > SSL > Keyrings > SSL Keyrings tab in the Management Console.
You can also create or configure HTTP/HTTPS consoles and services through the CLI. For more information on SGOS 4.x, please see Chapter 5 "Managing Port Services" Section A titled "Managing Multiple Management Consoles" in the Configuration and Management Guide (CMG). For SGOS 5.x, please see Volume 2 "Proxies and Port Services", and Chapter 2 titled "About Management Services" within the CMG.
