Error:3302 was displayed when I did initial setup with PolicyCenter GUI.

Issue/Introduction

After installing PolicyCenter, I did initial setup with the PolicyCenter GUI. When I finished initial setup, PolicyCenter displayed the following message:

"ERROR 3302: DS error binding, Can't connect to
the LDAP server, Error 0x0 connecting to 127.0.0.1:
Connection refused."
----------------------------------------------------------

I checked the PolicyCenter service from Settings->Control Panel->Administrative Services->Services. However Sun ONE Directory Server 5.2 was not started.
 

Resolution

Sun ONE Directory Server 5.2 installation will fail if your server has the SNMP service before installing PolicyCenter. Please uninstall the SNMP service if you have a pre-installed SNMP service, and then install PolicyCenter again.
