Issue/Introduction

Can a locally defined category in VPM have comments in it?
I have a locally defined URL listing in my VPM policy.  Can I add comments to these sites?
I want to deny or allow access to multiple sites.  Can I create a list, with comments, where I can allow or deny access to those sites?

Resolution

You can create a locally defined category with domain names and also include comments in that locally defined category.  Here is an explanation of what you can do.

1.)  Login to the Management Console (https://<ip.address.of.proxysg>:8082/ )
2.)  Go to the Configuration tab > Policy > Visual Policy Manager > Launch.
3a.)  (Creating a new category)  In your VPM (Web Access Layer) in the destination field, right click and select Set > New > Request URL Category > under Policy create a new category > give the category a name and click OK > Select the new category > Click on Edit URLs > add the URLs and put a comment in after the URL separated by a semi-colon character which is a ;    Please see the screen shots below.
3b.)  (Editing an existing category)  In your VPM (Web Access Layer) in the destination field, right click and select Set > Edit > Select the category > Click on Edit URLs > Add your sites and separate the site and comment with a semi-colon character ;
4.)  Save your changes and install policy.
5.)  Test
