Issue/Introduction

SEP 14 introduced the Dark Network Client install type. It uses the core 1.5 SDS AV Definitions.

However, the SEP 14 Endpoint Protection Manager does not show the latest definitions when only the definitions for Dark Network Clients are downloaded.

Environment

• SEP 14 Endpoint Protection Manager installations that have been migrated from SEP 12.1 with only the Dark Network Clients install type.
• Endpoint Protection Manager configured to download only content for Dark Network Clients.

Cause

This is by design.

Resolution

Configure the SEP Manager to also download the standard client content. This will allow the Manager to display the latest definitions.
