Issue/Introduction

Upgrade to Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) 14 MP1 for Mac does not update SymDaemon; you may experience SymDaemon crashes or other symptoms for issues that should be fixed in MP1, but recur because older version of SymDaemon is still in place. For example, Scan Error when attempting to launch a manual scan with Endpoint Protection 14.0 for Mac.

Cause

This issue has been fixed in SEP 14 MP2 for Mac.

Resolution

Upgrade to SEP 14 MP2 for Mac. Un/re-installing SEP for Mac should resolve the issue for earlier versions.
