Windows BSoD with BugCheck 0x7E, ExceptionCode c0000005 and module BHDrvx86 encountered when system resources are low

Issue/Introduction

Windows encounters a stop error (Blue Screen of Death, BSoD) when system resources are low.  The BugCheck is 0x7E with an ExceptionCode of c0000005. BHDrvx86 is indicated as the faulting module.

Cause

The symptoms described can occur for a variety of reasons, root cause may be external to BHDrvx86.sys.  A potential root cause is the failure of BHDrvx86.sys to handle a memory allocation failure.

Resolution

Fixed in SONAR Engine 11.2.0.180.
