This document answers a question related to OTP (One Time Password) expiry.

In what conditions does an Arcot OTP for AOK product using Advanced Authentication expire earlier than the specified Validity period ?

Environment

Production

Resolution

1. OTP (One Time Password) will expire once used.
2. OTP profile is used for both SMS and Email 
3. Note an unused OTP (if later OTPs created after that will expire the older OTP for security reasons) `will expire as new ones generated for the user. 

The "A-OK OTP Status Report" can be used to check the "Validity Start Date" and "Validity End Date" for the "Arcot User Name"/ "Group Name"
