You have booted to a Windows PE preboot environment, you are using Ghost to capture or deploy and image and you find that a particular hard drive is not present on the menus provided by Ghost.
Environment
NVME, NVLM, M.2 hard drive
Resolution
Use either WinPE 5.1 or Win PE 10.
Previous versions of Windows PE tend to have problems with certain new types of hardware.
Add Enhanced Storage to your preboot configuration and then rebuild it and try again. Here are the steps:
Start Boot Disk Creator
Right click on Configurations, choose New Configuration
Follow the steps to create your configuration as you normally would until you see "Optional Components"
Check the checkbox for WinPE-EnhancedStorage
Proceed with the wizard as you normally would, build a new preboot environment and test it.
If the boot disk still fails to recognize the hard drive...
