Issue/Introduction

SWM policy containing tasks (patching, rebooting) is executing twice within single maintenance window.

Scenario example:

1. Configure maintenance window
* yearly by date: today at specific time frame
* yearly by date: any date next month
2. Prepare MDP with tasks
* get IP config
* Restart Computer
* Update Client Config
3. Prepare another MDP with tasks:
* Get IP config
4. Update client configuration so both policies arrive and schedule to next maintenance window
5. modify second MDP and add additional schedule (to force policy configuration refresh on a client later)
6. Wait for maintenance and observe it executes twice including computer restart

 

Expected:
MDP to execute only once and reschedule to next maintenance window

HOW TO INSTALL THIS POINTFIX

 

1. Retrieve files from the archive to the NS hard drive.
2. Make sure PointFix is extracted not to Altiris install directory (or any subfolder to it)!!!
3. Run as administrator PFinstaller.EXE, click on ‘Install Files’ button
4. Accept UAC (User Account Control) prompt, select Install Files. Old files will be automatically backup to the Backup folder at the same location where PFinstaller is and replaced with the new ones. Log-file Log.txt will be created at the same location where PFinstaller is.
5. After installation need to start NS.Package Refresh scheduled task and Enable SMA upgrade policies.
