Issue/Introduction

It is no longer possible to select multiple files or folder(s) for uploading into DS 8.1.  This change affects the following items/settings/tasks:

• Copy File
• OS Files: Add Files
• Driver management
• Add Preboot Configuration > Select Mac Preboot Environment to upload
  • Netboot
  • NetInstall
• Sysprep Imaging Configuration

 

There is no error.  Folders and/or  multiple files cannot be selected.

DS 8.1

Cause

Because of security concerns Java was removed from the NS console.  Java allowed folders and multiple files to be selected, HTML does not.

Resolution

To upload a folder and/or multiple files at a time do the following:

1. Select the folder or files
2. Use a zip utility to create a zip file of the folder or files. E.g drivers.zip
3. From the approriate DS task/setting select the Zip file created above for import 
4. Select 'Yes' and the archive will be extracted.  Select 'No' to upload the archive content without extracting it
