Issue/Introduction

Continue to receive LiveUpdate pop-up after updgrading server version of Symantec Endpoint Protection Small Business Edition cloud (SEP SBE).

LiveUpdate operations are unable to finish. Until the update is complete, this computer will report an unknown state, but will still be protected. Please login as Administrator to complete the update. Small Business Server users must enable and use the system-created Administrator account.

Resolution

Remove the registry value: SEPUpgrade. Follow the steps below

1. Open the registry (Start > Run > type regedit)
2. Navigate to the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\
3. Delete: SEPUpgrade

The prompt should no longer show up.
