Endpoint Protection Manager version 14 Java console fails to open

Issue/Introduction

The Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM) Java console fails to install when accessing Java. No errors appear, however the install stops immediately at the following point when accessing the previously installed Java:

Cause

SEPM 14 is now a native 64 bit application, whereas the Java installation is 32 bit.

Resolution

Uninstall the 32 bit Java and allow the SEPM console to install the correct 64 bit version of Java.
