When installing Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM), you see a warning in the Management Server Configuration Wizard which indicates that the SQL Server client tools must be installed on the server where you install the SEPM.
The SQL Server client tools must be installed on the server where you install Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager. make sure that the tools are installed, and specify the folder where they are installed in the appropriate box.
The Management Server Configuration Wizard can't automatically detect that the required Microsoft SQL connectivity tools are installed on the computer. These tools are needed to connect to and communicate with the Microsoft SQL Server database.
Either the SQL tools are installed to a non standard location that the Management Server Configuration Wizard cannot detect, or the SQL tools are not installed on the computer.
If the SQL tools are installed in a nonstandard location, click Browse, and locate the SQL tools installation folder (this folder will include the files bcp.exe and SQLCMD.exe), then click Open to Open.
If the SQL tools are not installed on the computer, install them on the SEPM computer before proceeding with the rest of the MSCW. You can install the SQL tools from the installation media for your version of the Microsoft SQL server. If you do not have access to the installation media for your version of Microsoft SQL server, download the SQL Server Native Client and SQL Server Command Line Utilities for your version of SQL Server from Microsoft.
