U11-074 message when delete the archive dataset

Issue/Introduction

We got the following message when CA 11 delete to archive dataset of CA DISK.

U11-074 CATALOG AND CMT DISAGREE ON UNIT TYPE-SCRATCH/UNCATALOG *WARNING* DSN=dsname

What is the meaning of this message?
How to correct the problem?

Resolution

The U11-074 message normally occurs when dataset has been migrated or archived from dasd to tape.
To address this you will need to uncomment the HSMVOL parm in the config file.

 

ex)

HSMVOL=MIGRAT

HSMVOL= ARCIVE

HSMVOL=(MIGRAT,ARCIVE)
