Issue/Introduction

Easytrieve release 11.5/11.6 calls Cobol 5.2 program, and the job abends with a S0C4 abend when called via Easytrieve.
Is any maintenance required?

Resolution

The description to resolve this for this IBM fix is:

     PI87546: In an ALL31(OFF) environment, CEEFETCH of a COBOL v5+ module produces an unusable function descriptor

Please also ensure that you have the following Easytrieve release 11.6 PTF: RO73486.

This PTF may be downloaded from the Broadcom Support Portal (Download section).  This PTF prevents a U4038 abend.
