Unable to apply the certificate to the Gateway - The remote server returned and error: (401) Unauthorized

Issue/Introduction

When trying to apply the certificate to the Gateway the following error is returned:

The remote server returned and error: (401) Unauthorized

Environment

ITMS 8.x

Cause

A redirect had been set on the FQDN HTTPS address to the Altiris Console. This redirect would send the cert registration request to the wrong location.

Resolution

Remove any redirects set on the server's Website (for example: https://servername.company.com/) in IIS.
