How to update or change the corporate, technical or billing contact for a Symantec VIP Manager account

Issue/Introduction

VIP account information needs to be updated. VIP account notifications aren't being received by an organization due to incorrect contact information in VIP Manager.

Environment

Resolution

To request changes to the billing, corporate or technical* contact in VIP Manager:

  1. Download and complete the attached PDF form. 
  2. The document must be signed by a legally-authorized signatory within your organization.
  3. Contact Symantec VIP Support to open a support case. For quicker resolution, include Symantec VIP in the subject. (example: Symantec VIP - request to update account information).   
  4. Attach the signed document to the case.

- Please allow a few days to complete the changes. 
- Personal email addresses are not permitted.

Note: VIP Certificate expiry notifications are sent to the email address listed under the TECHNICAL contact. Account expiry notifications are sent to the email addresses listed under the CORPORATE and TECHNICAL contact fields. Using a 'distribution list' email address ensures vital notifications will have a broader reach. Periodically review the accuracy of all information on the ACCOUNT tab in your VIP Manager portal.
