imported upgraded license file, and get warning about expired license

Issue/Introduction

Imported new license file for expired license and still get expired license notifications.

Warning that the license is about to expire.

Environment

Console

Cause

Expiring license file does not get updated with a new license file.

Resolution

Close the console

• Open the Licenses directory within the express share
• open each of the files and view the license file with notepad
• each license file will have an expiration date.
• Cut the file that has expired or about to expire from the folder and paste it to a backup location
• restart the Altiris Express Server
• Open the console dialog box about expired licenses should not appear
• Go to: Help > About and view the licenses the console should have the correct number of licenses
