See clients are not communicating with the SEE server

Issue/Introduction

Newly installed Endpoint Encryption clients are not communicating with the SEE server.

Cause

In some environments where the client-server communication is using custom ports, the default rules for Windows Firewall or other third party firewall software can block communication.

Resolution

Check the Firewall on both the client and on the Management Server, and either disable or modify it to allow the SEE agent to communicate with the SEE server.
