Issue/Introduction

We currently have a mitel ipera3000 notif alarm that comes in and in the alarm details is the following:-

mitelIpera3000AlmDetectDate = ?

Once the xml is generated for this alarm it is getting rejected from being sent to our ticketing system due to the date being in an unknown format.

We are now trying to explore if we can see the trap/alarm being recieved in ASCII format so we can see what text is displayed in this date field.

The problem here is with the data that is being sent from within the trap.  Once you know what the data is then you can modify the event and configuration on the Spectrum side to interpret that correctly but you do need to know what the data is.

You might consider using a sniffer trace and take a look at what is in the sniffer trace data for this trap but outside of that you would need to verify with the vendor what the data type is being sent in the trap.
