Issue/Introduction

Created a Software Update Policy for the MSWU-1498-Windows6.1-KB3092627-x64.msu and it targets and installs successfully on Microsoft Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 x64 Clients; however, the vendor deemed this update is Superseded by CRUW-001-KB3125574 as detailed in Microsoft Catalog on 9/4/2015

 

Environment

Patch Management 7.5.x, 7.6.x and 8.x

Cause

Confirmed that MSWU-1489-KB3092627 was Superseded by CRUW-001-KB3125574; however, KB3125574 requires pre-requisite update of either KB3020369 or KB3177467 before it will target. 

Resolution

Confirmed working as designed; allows for deployment of MSWU-1489-KB3092627 in instances where the pre-requisites are not installed as outlined by the vendor.
