When opening a browser a Norton toolbar add-on prompt is displayed

Issue/Introduction

After installing Symantec Endpoint Protection Small Business Edition cloud (SEP SBE cloud) a Norton Security Toolbar add-on prompt is displayed when opening a browser.

Cause

When the SEP SBE cloud agent is installed it will automatically load the Norton Security Toolbar on any support browsers.

Resolution

When the prompt appears the add-on can be enabled or disabled and no additional prompts will appear. If the Norton toolbar settings need to be changed at a later time the following steps can be followed:

Firefox:

1. Open the browser
2. Select Tools
3. Open Add-ons
4. Click the Disable/Enable button to change the settings for the Norton Security toolbar 

Chrome:

1. Open the browser
2. Click the customize button
3. Select settings
4. Choose extensions
5. Check the box next to the Norton Security toolbar to Disable/Enable the add-on

Internet Explorer:

1. Open the browser
2. Click Tools
3. Select Manage add-ons
4. Highlight the Norton Security Toolbar and click the Disable/Enable button to change the settings
